What is Real Meditation?

Teacher: Shai Tubali
Date: 03-10-2019
Time: 19:30 - 21:30
Language: English
Description:

For this evening’s guided meditation and talk, Shai Tubali invites you to explore collectively what true meditation is, and how the art of meditation can become the basis for a holistic and complete life.

True meditation is not a technique that we practice or an exercise we do in order to be relaxed. It is an art form – a state of consciousness and a way of living. In the evening, Shai will share the important distinctions between the state of meditation and meditation techniques, between different types of silence, and between the brain, mind, and consciousness.

You will be inspired to pave the way to an effortless and natural inner silence. The evening will conclude with time for questions and answers.

On Thursday 3 October, Shai Tubali will be at Venwoude again, this time to share an enlightening, deep, meditative state. You are warmly invited to come together and meet the silence within, as Shai will lead the way to our true nature in this inspiring talk and guided meditation.

About Shai Tubali

“There are two types of silence: one that is the opposite of life and the other that includes life as a whole. Seek in your meditation this inclusive silence, which never escapes but embraces all.” – Shai Tubali

Shai Tubali is a spiritual teacher and a philosopher. He is a pioneering figure in the field of self-transformation who has helped thousands of people to transform their lives in his many years of teaching around the world.

Almost 20 years of in-depth study of Eastern thought and Yogic tradition have brought this trained Yogi up to a master level in utilizing the tools of spirituality to offer structure, deep insights, and methods for personal growth in all areas of life.

As well as regularly leading popular retreats and workshops around Europe and beyond, Shai is a prolific and renowned author, with 23 books published to date. His bestselling books have been translated into five languages and have won awards in Israel and the United States.

In his writings and teachings, he skilfully combines Yogic knowledge and Eastern practices with the latest in Western science, psychology, and philosophy to create innovative processes. His best-loved methods, including the Expansion Method, Power Psychology, and Chakra Psychology, have been picked up by psychologists and psychotherapists throughout Europe. The psychological insights he has unearthed have been commended by psychologists and academics for their originality and depth. Through his books and teachings, he is now one of Europe’s best-regarded experts on the chakra system.

Since 2012, Shai has lived in Berlin, where he is the head of the Human Greatness Center. He is dedicated to continual growth through a variety of art forms: in 2017, he wrote and directed his first short film.

A trained Yogi with 18 years of studies in the field of Eastern thought and Yogic traditions, Shai has become one of Europe’s experts in the field of subtle bodies and, more specifically, the ancient chakra system. Based on his own direct and ongoing revelation of cosmic consciousness since the age of 23, he has guided thousands in Israel and Europe towards deeper experiences of the hidden potentials of their hearts and minds.

His integral approach has led him to combine mental and emotional transformations based on principles of Western philosophy, such as the likes of Nietzsche and Socrates, and Western psychology, such as Freud and Adler – as well as Jewish and Christian mysticism, and even advanced brain research.

Currently, he is conducting research in philosophy at the University of Leeds, UK, heading towards a PHD in the field of mysticism, self- transformation, and Western philosophy.

“Your mind is not made of thoughts. It is made of infinite space. That is why you don’t need to drop it, but only to recognise its true nature: that, in reality, it is already silent. Even the most turbulent thought is but a ripple in the unmovable ocean of the mind.” – Shai Tubali
